Bacteria to Go

Bing images / public domain

I was just reading an old National Geographic magazine I have, and I came across a little blurb about reusable shopping bags when they were first becoming our new reality. And it reminds us to WASH THEM, even the thicker plastic ones. Bacteria from carrying raw meat, rotten fruit, or dirty clothes…and even E. coli have been found in analysis. Not to mention chicken juice, that can have salmonella.

Ours always end up on the ground as we are emptying them and putting items away…and then someone else scoops them all up & shoves them into one bag to toss back in the car. YIKES – don’t forget to wash them bags or wipe them down with an anti-bacterial wipe.

Let's chat: Don't be mean, and keep it clean
